King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys have toe tapping, rhythm which is completely addictive. Lovely semi-acoustic amplified guitar, great brass and reed sections; a good "fat" sound. A combination of Swing and Boogie Woogie, it is easy to hear the natural progression to the Rock 'n' Roll of Bill Haley in several of the tracks.
This is what it would have sounded like in the 40s.
In my opinion ten times better than Jules Holland and his band.

This band master their instruments and are very strong musically. The pianist can do more tricks with 88 keys than a monkey can do with a hundred feet of rope. Lots of brass sets the pase for a great musical ride. If they're weak anywhere it's in the vocals but all in all, great swing band!!!

I still think their best music is on the Teletubbies. Their Cat and the Fiddle piece is superb. This album is superb. Toe tapping to the extreme, and cheaper then seeing Jules Holland, I love these guys.

I used to have a Vinyl album of King Pleasure and the Bisquit Boys which
was excellent.

I was a little disappointed with this, I expected a better recorded CD, capturing their live performances. Their are a few toetappers, but overall, it seems rather flat. OK if you can get it cheap, but not at full price.
