I'm not sure if maybe I got a bad pair, but this is just the experience I had.
I bought these headphones after reading some mixed reviews, but they leaned more to the positive side so it seemed okay. Turns out the quality was just not there at all. The high end is constricted and there is a large emphasis on the low-mids, making everything sound muddy and far away. I'm not saying that I was expecting perfect clarity from these headphones, being $50, but the earbuds that I was replacing with these were $20, and had much better clarity than these.
I will make note that although the ear cups are a little small, that didn't bother me at all, and the design was actually really appealing to me, which makes it all the more upsetting that the sound couldn't hold up. I also was not able to tell how they feel over a long period of time since I plugged them in once, listened to about 3 minutes of music to test them, and immediately packaged them for returning.
Also make note that when I ordered these, I got them shipped from Active Life Store and I was sent some weird Giro design that was a little gray and had an odd logo. The design wasn't really that much of an issue for me, but I would have preferred all black and it was a little unsettling to not get what I thought I had ordered.
