4.0 out of 5 stars Riff monster!, 27 Oct 2009
By CRB "CRB" (Brighton, UK) - See all my reviews
I think this album is slightly better than the first 3 reviews here suggest and improves upon repeat listening. Good musicianship, particularly from the new bassist and whilst harking back to the early 70's it does appear a more distinct sound is evolving. This is a young band and they will get better. As always fine riffs and distinctive vocals from Mr S.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Notch, 28 Oct 2009

To be honest I didn't think a lot of this album upon the first few listens but I stuck with it and now it's on constant repeat.
The more you listen to it the better it gets. In fact, I'd go as far to say that it's a better album than their first.
Don't give up on it too early and you will be rewarded.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good follow-up album., 1 Jan 2010

Since their first self-titled album, Wolfmother have changed and expanded their line-up. Even with this fuller sound they are still the Wolfmother we know and love. This is a very good collection of songs with a unique quality as good as their first album. All twelve tracks are excellent in my opinion.
