We started watching this with my 4 year old son, and now the whole family is addicted to it. Many kids' cartoons are just painful to watch for adults, but this one has enough laughs for kids, but has cleverly written dialogue and good characters that also keep the adults entertained.

In fact, we like Skipper, Rico, Kowolski and Private so much, we went to see them at the cinema. As a reward, we got a Werner Herzog reference! How many animations have that levels of smarts, while still keeping the 4 year old happy?

I really enjoy this cartoon. Rico is excellent, as is King Julian. The animators and writers did an excellent job of keeping to the Madagascar films. Not sure what one of the other people on here had a problem with in regards to the episode 'gone with the flash' It was a good episode!
Im 24, and love cartoons. This is one of my favs by far.
