A very fresh entertaining film, based around a naive college graduate who believes she's destined to be a great poet, begrudgingly accepts a job at a sex shop while she pursues a mentorship with reclusive writer Rat Billings. It was different than any other film i have watched yet, Emma Roberts delivered a very good performance, its a bit nutty in places but deserves to be watched. Not everyone's kinda film yet i did enjoy the qwerky style of the film.

This wasnt very entertaining, or very captivating. There was little to no plot and at the end it seemed all too pointless of a movie. Also, the cover art is not at all indicative of the theme of the movie. Emma Roberts is screeching and awful in this.

A subtle coming of age flick, that avoids all the general cliches and has some nice performances. Nicely paced, and fairly believable, I enjoyed it throughout. Cusack is pretty cool in it with the remaining cast all adequeatly holding their own

Dreadful stuff, neither sexy nor funny, it tries to be too many things to many people and ends up being none of them. Give this one a miss.

No sex, no nudity. An interesting and amusing story. John Cusack plays a burnt out poet pursued by young, over achieving college grad, Emma Roberts who has ambitions of following in his footsteps.
The story is, frankly, kinda predictable which is nice. But the characters are interesting and likeable. Some good music sound tracked.

dreary dull characters just not even real fake cool, if ever met anyone like these characters would know hoe tame it all was and how unrealistic, odd not more research done, the worst film watched in a long time, titled better as mickey mouse world so unrealistic, this world and characters in it are much darker in real life

I approached this with no real preconception. To be honest I clicked on it only after scrolling through pages of possibles and gettinging fed up with not finding something. It was free (via Prime) so I took the chance.

I'm really glad I did - it is quite gentle, but it has some nice dialogue, some quirky humour and I found that the characters were engaging.

It says on the picture "dark and sexy" - it really isn't particularly dark and it is certainly not graphically sexy (I imagine it got the 15 rating for other reasons), but it is well worth giving it a go. I enjoyed it a lot.

Story of a 22-year-old poet (Roberts) whose parents tell her they are not going to pay her bills any more. She gets a job at a porn shop and lives briefly with a cross-dresser then stalks her favorite author (Cusack). some witty dialog.
