This actually is not such a bad movie, I like good fun trashy low budget movies as why I wanted to watch this, but in fact its rather quite a decent budget film with great arctic surroundings and sets, the story is good and easy to follow, basically 3 super soldiers on a mission go missing after killing a load of people and 50 years later they are found on ice after freezing and wake up to continue their mission, it has hints of universal soldier I guess but this movie spares us the method of how they got to become what they are and we jump straight into the action, the cast is good with a short role from Michael Ironside which is always cool, overall its a pretty enjoyable thriller and worth checking out.
Good Blu-ray quality especially with the snow scenes, no special features!

Not a bad film, but then not a brilliant one either, it killed an evening. Super Russian soldiers who have a nasty tendancy for being frozen in ice and then thawed out again. Pretty much a no brainer movie

During the Cuban missile crisis, three genetically altered Russian soldiers who look like albino Frankenstein triplets, crash in the Arctic. They are found by the US military. The soldiers kill all the Americans, rape a doctor (Carinne Leduc) and go missing. 50 years later, 50 year old Dr. Malraux (Dominic Purcell) leads a combination group of military and oil people to locate them. Malraux is young looking and keeps a picture of the raped woman in his room. It isn't hard to see this one coming.

After they find the three frozen, guess what happens next? Deja Vu all over again. You won't want to miss the exciting ending when Malraux confronts the genetically altered man with light sabers...okay maybe not light sabers.

Boring in every aspect

Parental Guide: Stripper Nudity. Off screen rape.No F-bombs I that recall.

not the most imaginative of plots, most of it i could see coming a mile away, without giving too much of the plot away, how many times do you revive 3 homicidal maniacs under minimum security and expect to get away with i!,still greed will drive people.!
despite the plot flaws, still pretty entertaining if you don't want to work too hard,i guess they could have ended it with"see you after another 50 years".

Ice Soldiers is in my top ten films AS THE MOST B O R I N G FILM I HAVE SEEN IN MY 50 YEARS ON THE PLANET EARTH.
Wooden actors , wooden script with no purpose. If you have ever seen a B. movie that is so brilliant and "tongue in cheek" which gives you a lift that`s okay.
This film is a complete waste of time.

Entertaining B-movie - not fantastic but quite watchable action flick. (Made better by yumtious Dominic Purcell.) Genetically engineered soldiers - the baddies - are found and pursued by the good guys. Also Michael Ironside helps improve quality too.

This is a not bad Universal Soldier type Sci-Fi flick which moves rather slowly in places but is carried along by an above average cliche free story that is expertly held together by the talents of Purcell and Ironside.
