The Bridge 2 Seasons 2014

An old tanker veers off course, heading straight for the Oresund Bridge, the scene of the now-infamous crime that first united detectives Saga Noren (Sofia Helin) and Martin Rohde (Kim Bodnia). The Malmo Coast Guard urgently contacts the tanker but there is no reply, the call just echoes eerily across the bridge of the ship.

Stunning, gripping and real. Thank The Lord for intelligent, Scandinavian noir, puts dumbed-down uk drama offering to shame!

Wow , what a season. These Scandinavians really know what they are doing. This, Borgen and the killing must be the best series on TV. You even forget the subtitles are there. Saga is an amazing character to watch. Her brain ticks away with ideas while her face stays impassive. The drama never had a dull moment and you were guessing right up until the end. I cant wait for the next season. Highly Recommend

As great as season 1, the characters and dialogue are interesting and this is compelling viewing. Let's hope they make a third season asap

As good as season 1 if not better!

A smorgasbord of red herrings and a great mix of the political and moral messages right up to date.

The characters of both leads is explored further although I began to feel Saga's behaviour reminded me of Spock in Star Trek.

I so wished I had seen this when it aired on BBC and not paid to watch it!

excellent Scandi noir with great performances from odd ball partners who play against sex stereotypes as emotional, in touch Danish male cop who is in fact a bit of a car crash and Swedish woman detective who is blunt, damaged and obsessive but does not harm other people - gripping.

Fantastic programme. The best I have EVER seen. If you loved Breaking Bad, Lost, True Detective, Walking Dead then you will love this even more.

Breaking Bad is still the best drama I have seen which ticked all the boxes but this is a very, very close second.
