There is a bit of a problem, 'Robert 'Bobby' Trench'(Washington) and 'Micheal
'Stig' Stigman'(Wahlberg) work for completely separate 'federal agencies',
Neither know the status of the other, in fact they both believe the other will
help them bust the drug cartel's money trail.
The two rob a bank stealing the deposited monies of the drug cartels...but, who's
money have they really taken.
They have certainly upped the anti as the pair are now being tracked by several
different organisations, so much so there seems to be nobody left that can be
trusted.
Plenty of explosive action on offer with a good measure of humour along the way as
the two blaze a trail across the big screen'
The film is a real treat to watch, great chemistry between 'Denzel Washington' and
'Marc Wahlberg'
Great picture and sound quality on the Blu-Ray format.
Among the additional features.....'Click Click, Bang Bang: the making of 'Two Guns'
'The Good, The Bad, and the Sexy' ...'Finding the Vibe' ...'Living Dangerously'
along with the usual measure of 'Deleted Scenes' and commentary from both the producer
and director, ....adding up to plenty of extras on board.

Bobby (Denzel Washington) is an undercover DEA agent working with Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) who in undercover Navy Intelligence. Each thinks the other is just a bad guy. Together they rob a bank on orders so as to steal money from a drug cartel. This way the money can be seized as evidence in a crime and they don't need a warrant, as if that has stopped them before. Things become confused as the there is more money than expected.

The banter between Wahlberg and Washington is what makes the film. They are too cool together. It is a fun popcorn film with comedy, dark comedy, and plenty of action. Good characters in a plot that was predictable. Worth seeing after you have seen Reds 2.

Parental Guide: F-bomb, brief nudity (Paula Patton).

Opted for 4* as for what it is, it's a great film to waste a couple of hours on. Glad to say that it provides all you'd expect from the cover sheet. Both DW and MW play their roles well and together they create quite a partnership. Predictable in many areas but there's enough plot to keep you going for the entire film.
Worth a watch.

I like movies starring EJO and in this one it's nice to see him as (one of the) bad guys. Yes, the plot of everybody trying to double cross each other has been done before and will be done again. I wanted something easy to watch and this fitted the bill perfectly. If you want a deep, philosophical movie go watch something else. If you want a couple of hours of entertainment and popcorn, watch this.

Stig (Wahlberg) & Bobby Beans (Washington) unknown to each other are a pair of law enforcement officers, Naval Intelligence officer Michael 'Stig' Stigman & DEA agent Robert 'Beans' Trench. Playing the other as a fall guy, as they are preparing to set up drug cartel leader Papi Greco (Olmos) by stealing his money in a daring bank heist. However, they don't realize that they are both infact patsies, and the money they steal is going to bring all hell down upon them, as they find themselves hung out to dry by they're superiors. And must settle they're differences to work together & uncover the conspiracy.

Overall 2 Guns has a rather ordinary & cliche story at it's heart truth be told, that's sometimes hard to follow, but it is given the kiss of life thanks to a few redeeming features. The chemistry partnership between lead duo Denzel Washington (Training Day) & Mark Wahlberg (Shooter) is spot on as their poles apart characters make for great buddy cop material. Denzel is his usual experienced, cool customer persona, who never flaps under pressure. While Wahlberg on the other hand is the boyish, high spirited & cocky womanizer. Together they're light hearted comedy dialogue banter hit's the mark at just the right time, to deliver a smile or laugh, in varied situations. Bill Paxton (Aliens) also makes a very memorable appearance as a sadistic CIA agent. The Russian roulette torture scene with Denzel's coolness under pressure, up against Paxton relishing delivering pain.

This is a bizarre yet entertaining film, what sets it apart is that it is true.
Some of it you will find very hard to believe, but Google it and you'll see.
All the actors play their parts to perfection and it just gathers momentum as it goes along.
Very enjoyable and shocking at the same time.
