The first episode is brilliant! great introduction to a new series, i am not bothered about the episodes being released one at a time, although this merge with amazon is stupid, it is not as user friendly as the old Lovefilm setup and the amazon company have taken a real step back...

just as great as the first series. with a twist in it that I hoped would not be true. this series is a must watch for anyone. great story, great acting, brilliant cast, fighting scenes are great in the detail. even love the theme tune.
has you wanting to watch the next episode all the time, like the first series, its so engrossing. there is noting at all bad I can say about both of the Viking series. they are both sublime.
one of the best tv series I have seen in a long time.
just superb...
I didn't mind waiting as we saved watching this series for the weekend so by the time we got through them we had no waiting.
but amazon have ruined lovefilm and their customer services for reporting problems is, in a word, pathetic. which I have told them many a time.

One thing I like about this series in particular is it's attention to detail. It feels incredibly subversive and manages to capture the time well. It clearly doesn't have as grand a budget as GOT or Rome, but it uses what it has well. The characters (for the most part) are genuinely interesting and developed. The series' main protagonist Ragnar is incredibly charismatic yet complex, and is one of the few characters I can connect with on a personal level (the other being the king of Wessex). One flaw of the series is that for a show based around a culture of mass-murdering pillagers, it suffers from a lack of action. The fight scenes themselves are well executed, but I often feel unnecessary drama is shoehorned into the show for characters I just don't care about. *cough* Siggi *cough*.
I would have rated this much lower based on Amazon's outdated business model, but I won't jeopardize the show and it's creators for something they have no real control over. So I simply say this. To any producers who may be reading this, I implore you on behalf of the people to release the next series in it's entirety. Just look at the raging success of House of Cards. It would make your site favourable over the History Channel and bring in many more fans. I say this as a man educated in cinema, and as a genuine fan of this great series.

Episode 1 - An episode of two halves. The first slightly harder to follow as one plays catch-up. The second half a quiet more personal matter of affairs; quite literally. Hoping for a clear well defined plot path this season.

Episode 2 - Amazingly four years has passed and Rollo is the only one who has done nothing in that time. His loyalty to his brother is interesting, considering how easy betrayal came at end of Series 1. This episode gives us a bloody battle, the promise of more Eng-er-land conflict, and the feeling that something back home is going to go wrong very soon.

Excellent start to Series 2 and looking forward to watching the rest of the series. I stream directly to my Sony TV through its Amazon (formerly LoveFilm) App and it ran without any interruptions in HD.

Vikings has everything, drama, love, action, grit, intrigue ..... and the characters are generally well acted. Of course we still get the 'Hollywood' hairstyling and way-to-clean looks but hey, it's TV, just enjoy it.

I'm with most people in hating the new Amazon Instant / Prime layout - I also still rent DVDs and the new Amazon online makeover just does not work as well as the old LoveFilm site. I can understand re-branding but beyond that, why change something that worked (almost) perfectly.

Vikings is worth 5 stars, but the service cost it one!
