This DVD once again features the highly popular Mr Tumble and his creator Justin Fletcher. The episodes featured on this disc have had me roaring with laughter and I think the general appeal of Something Special is that even with an audience of special needs children in mind, the show is accessible to a large proportion of people. Justin Fletcher is genuine and caring towards all of the children featured as he goes "out and about" without being condescending. He is also a creative genius displayed in the episodes not only via Mr Tumble but the Tumble family including my personal favourites Grandad Tumble and Aunt Polly. I know that Justin Fletcher is often criticised for his cross-dressing but Aunt Polly's appearances on this DVD are brilliantly funny. Look out for the episode where an incompetent Aunt Polly has to care for a doggy companion named Chip!

A must for tumble fans! I've been signing with my daughter since she was just over a year old to aid communication between us and fill the gap between communication and speech which is a huge source of frustration for little ones. She now signs for everything and her speech (18 months) is impressing us daily as she is saying the word she is signing. I introduced Mr Tumble to her three months ago or so and now she absolutely adores him and asks for her daily fix so that she learn new signs and join in. I decided it was time to buy a DVD so that we can watch the same episodes over and over and learn new signs. He is a big hit in our house, the DVD is brilliantly put together and I love all of the different characters Justin Fletcher plays. Aunt Polly is probably my favourite along with Fisherman Tumble :-)

My daughter has cerebral palsy, developmental delay and very limited verbal skills. She is always excited, enchanted, and transfixed by Something Special and this superb DVD is another absolute delight in the series. Thank goodness for the fabulous Justin Fletcher and the vision of CBeebies and thank goodness for Makaton.

My son loves Mr tumble, he's 2 years old and has learning difficulties he is learning to use makaton to help him communicate, I would highly recommend this for anyone with young children, learning difficulties or not, I don't mind sitting through it myself either. My son has all the DVDs but I downloaded this and a couple of other something special series for him to watch on the 4 and a half hour flight to our first holiday, he wa so well behaved the people behind us even commented when we were getting off the plane.
