No one could possible convey the ambition, manipulation and evil of Francis Urquhart as well as Ian Richardson. What a brilliant actor. What a gripping series.

One of the best tv series ever. Brilliantly written by David Nobbs, with a fabulous portrayal of the unspeakable Urquart by Ian Richardson. Once you start to watch episode 1 , you have to watch it all the way through to its very dramatic end.

This is fantastic. One of the best British TV dramas of all time. Look out for a powerhouse acting performance by Ian Richardson, who is totally convincing in the role. Politics may have changed since the TV series was made and it may look dated today, but the quality of direction, writing and acting is timeless.

5 stars? You might think that....I couldn't possibly comment!
Much better than the American version, gritty, and still as relevant today as when the series first aired.
