I watched this series on virgin play back as I was intrigued to see what another vampire series could offer. As it was shown on MTV I was aware that it was probably aimed at a young teen market and wasn't really expecting too much but I found it did have enough substance to keep me watching. At times some the characters and acting do border on being a little cheesy, and overall it seems to be a little low budget in comparision to other vampire series. However that said, the plotline was alright and the mythology created around the vampires/university was quite fun so if a second season ever emerges I would watch it.

An interesting take on Vampires. The acting is not great, but not totally terrible either! Only 6 episodes, which makes it a little short and no second season that I can see.

I was never going to complain about 'Valemont' if it turned out to be awful, because it only cost me a pound for the first series. I wasn't at all familiar with this MTV mini-series, but decided to take a small gamble. Although I am far from convinced that it is a great Vampire programme, it is watchable, and if I was to find the second series at a reasonable price, I would buy it.

The budget for 'Valemont' was obviously low, and I also sensed that the show had been hashed together fairly quickly, and as a result, feels disjointed. However, it should be noted that this was originally a web series, so all of this is what you would expect for such anyway. The plot is nothing new or original, set in a university for vampires, with one relative in search for another, in this case, a sister driven to find out what happened to her brother who is now dead.

It took a couple episodes for me to get into this, but it did happen eventually, I stayed with it and did grow to care about the characters, most of which it has to be said are well acted by the cast. The vampire uni-kids are all different, but they all have strengths, some are vampires, others are strong, some athletic, and others very smart.

I enjoyed the watching the story unfold and all the clues that were found. With only six episodes, this is a short series, and can be watched in just under two hours. 'Valemont' is good for teenagers, an alternative to 'Twilight' (which I hated by the way), and despite it's cheesiness, I was pleasantly surprised. Watchable, and a decent series for what it is - that is all.

Storyline good and enjoyed the clues and how it all unfolds..My reason for marking three stars is simple..Why has another season never been made? no follow up? I can only guess due to lack of audience when aired on American channel its been dropped which is a pity as I found it very entertaining and would have bought the box set.

This was always sitting on amazons recommendations for me. Thought, 'why not?', I mean it's like 1.50. Even with postage, it's less than a sandwich and a bottle of water. I like vampire things, how bad can it be?

Yeah it was that bad. I wish I'd bought the sandwich. For a corporation with the wealth of MTV,you would think they would invest it in I don't know, the budget of a TV show. Maybe some special effects? Anything to detract from the screenplay. it felt to me like they had one production meeting with the script and thought yeah let's do this as is. Which is a shame because the basic bones of the story were solid. If they had fleshed it out this would have been a totally different review.

I will say this for it though, I did watch it till the end. Some bits are ludicrous. Some are cheesy and some are just plain boring but it does hold your attention till the end. I'm sure some people will love this. It just wasn't for me.

Seeing the adverts on MTV a couple of years ago, I immediately became interested in watching the series. I'm an avid fantasy fan! Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch it on the scheduled times on TV, however i did watch it on demand and I was a bit sceptic at first. Realising it was a web-series, the quality was understandably less than a fully fledged TV series.

It was great to see a cast of people, (not well known at the time), really shine in the spotlight. The plot was interesting and was a fascinating take on the myths of Vampires and one I had never seen before. I became hooked on the storyline and to know more and had a marathon day watching the full series.

I am so pleased to be able to watch whenever now and would love to see a series 2. Each episode left us with even more questions and gave us great cliff hangers.

I would definately recomment you buy this product, brand new and amazing condition, I recieved it in a couple of days and was extremely pleased with my buy. I realise that fantasy is not for everyone, as are web-isode type shows, but I would recommend you at least check it out and see for yourself.

It's not as if we haven't encountered teen vampires before! This is at the lower end of the genre, but it does have a certain rustic appeal. As each episode is only twenty minutes long, I would recommend watching the series in one go - it will make the slightly disjointed plot easier to follow. You'll understand immediately why a second series didn't materialise! Still, worth a couple of hours of your time if you've nothing better to do.
