Comedy, music, dance, romance, good guys and bad guys...this film has it all. A Cinderella Story is a really great film which has something for all the family. If you imagine a modern-day take on the fairytale classic mashed up with an episode of Glee, then you're in the right ball park.

There are some fabulous characters in the film. Kids will love Katie (the modern-day Cinders), Luke (the Prince Charming character) and the mischievous and technically brilliant little brother Victor. Grown-ups will definitely enjoy the subtler humour provided by the evil stepmom and supporting characters such as Ravi, the live-in phoney spiritual guru.

The film is fast-paced and has some wickedly funny scenes, and at just under 90 minutes, it is just the right length to keep little ones focussed if watching with a mixed age group. The plot stays close enough to the original Cinderella Tale to be recognisable at various points throughout, but the makers of the film have done a great job in setting the story in a modern context

Kids of all ages (and parents) are going to love the music (you'll probably find yourself humming the tunes days after), and you might even be tempted to push back the furniture and join in with the Bollywood style dance-off which takes place at the ball.

All in all, we give this film a big thumbs up - we thoroughly enjoyed it and think it is a great film for all the family to watch together.

We've seen Hilary Duff take on a version of the classic Cinderella story; then Selena Gomez put a music spin on things and now Lucy Hale has ramped it up another notch. I thought this would be a bit of a flop - a cliché, teen movie. And it is cliché and predictable, but it's also fun and the singing actually isn't bad like you might expect although the songs weren't as catchy as the previous movies. They kind of had a "Camp Rock" vibe to them.

The third in a set of stand-alone movies, this time we are introduced to Katie Gibbs. Living with her horrible step-mum, who also happens to be the Dean of the school, Katie runs errands and takes care of her younger step-brother and lives in her step-sister, Bev's, shadow. That is until they realise Katie can really sing and they find a use for her. Because Bev really can't and she's desperate to impress the hot guy at school who also happens to be a music producer! So unfolds a lot of lip-syncing, pre-recorded songs and false identities much to the dismay of Katie who is forced to help or to forgo her college education.

I loved the way the storyline progressed and some of the dance scenes, particularly the Bollywood scene, were excellent. I can't pretend this movie is original, it's obviously not, but it was done well and there were some laugh out loud moments. I especially liked the relationship Katie had with her little step-brother who sold the movie for me. It was also kind of refreshing for the "evil" step-sister to actually have a bit of a conscience for once! Fans of Pitch Perfect will also enjoy Luke (Freddie Stroma), the aforementioned hot music producer, who does a good job of being the token funny English guy.

I bought this for my stepdaughter for when she comes to stay as she's really into these types of films.
Watching it with her was really enjoyable and the storyline wasn't too bad. My step daughter loves this film and we were both impressed with the singing voices of the cast.
Surprisingly even my 14 year old son sat through the whole thing and enjoyed it! Trust me, there is no better praise. :-)
Arrived well within time given and appropriately packaged.
Recommend film and seller.

Didn't quite expect this type of cinderella so missed the oldfashioned clothes and life in the past ambience. Was very happy with the good service.
