This isn't a diet, per se; it's more of a guide to sensible eating. There isn't any need to measure calories, fat or portion size. By choosing particular foods, you'll be eating the right vitamins and nutrients automatically, and because you'll be consuming foods that provide the fuel that your body needs, you won't overeat. Rather, you'll stop when your body has taken in enough. It really is easy to follow and - more importantly - it works.

I tried Weightwatchers and had some success with the plan, but I was almost always hungry even though I'd eaten all that I was "allowed" for that day. With the Abs Diet, I can eat when I'm hungry (hunger is your body's signal that it needs fuel) and not put on excess fat. Whilst this book concentrates on food and nutrition, it correctly points out that real success can only be achieved with a complementary excercise regime.

Eat Right Every Time is easy to read, which makes it easy to remember. Although it was originally written for the US market, it's been adapted for a UK audience.

It's a good follow up to the first book (the Abs Diet), particularly when considering the price of it. It's a handy little reference that will help you stay on track. I have found some repetitions from the first book but that's OK with this low price. I think that both Abs Diet books will be very well supplemented by "Can We Live 150" by Dr. M. Tombak. It is absolutely essential item for anyone interested in healthy lifestyle.

This book certainly has different perspective about fitness diet. To be honest, I followed it very carefully and it did not work for me at all. I have actually gained a few kilos. I think one must be so out of shape and doing alot of sports in oder to get something out of this book.

The basics of this book are very simple and easy to follow, within a few days of eating within the guidelines set out by the book my energy levels and alertness were showing massive signs of improvement... which can only be good....
There is no new 'miracle weight loss' trick revealed in this book, just simple, easy to follow basic information that we all should know anyway, but we get lazy and need putting back on the straight and narrow.
Remember 'The Poo Test' on Gillian McKeiths TV show, You are What You Eat.... this diet will increase your dietry fibre levels considerably so massively reduce gut transit time of your food so be ready for the biggest, slimey, faecal waste products that you have ever produced.... This improves as your body adjusts to the dietry change, but borders on embarrassing as you are starting the changes.
One criticism, I have a book called 'The Food Doctor - ISBN 1-85585-682-4', it was given to me as a present 10 years ago and it is written and presented in such fantastic glorious multicolour with incredible photography, excellent printing materials and also written in English.... rather than American-English (there is a difference) and it still is the benchmark in my opinion in how books of this nature should be sold.... The Abs Diet appears to only be available printed on recycled low quality paper, written in American-English without any photography.... If it was repackaged as per 'The Food Doctor' and sold for £20-00 ish then I'd certainly buy another copy.
Overall, a very simple set of guidelines that will help improve your eating habits, as far as weight loss, that is always down to your ability to control your hunger cravings by eating the right foods.
