The Salomon Exit Peak Men's hiking shoe is a sporty, versatile light hiking shoe that is ideal for those light on their feet and like to keep moving across varying terrains at speed.The upper features a protective synthetic toe cap, mud guard, heel strap and heel foam for excellent levels of comfort and protection as the split suede leather and nubuck leather provide durability and lightweight feel.Featuring the Salomon contagrip unique traction technology sole it provides excellent levels of grip and durability by a mix of compound, lob geometry and density so you can remain grounded and have a solid footing across varying terrains and conditions. In addition the moulded EVA midsole and die cut EVA offer a solid platform for your feet.

Have worn Salomon shoes for years and love the level of comfort they provide. Only down side on this version is the lace eyes are not as good as on previous model, as they do not release the laces as easy for taking them off.

I've given them a nearly a year, giving them a week or two before wearing them again. Each time I do wear them, I end up with a sore toe on one foot. It's as if there is something sticking out inside them but the shoe feels smooth to the touch. I do a great deal of walking in other heavy duty boots and other heavy duty shoes but never have sore feet/toes. Thought these would be a nice lightweight alternative - Disappointed!
