The DVR19DT with a digital tuner offers a exciting choice of TV channels and radio stations through your existing aerial. Freeview is the easiest way to enjoy digital TV for free. There are upto 48 digital TV channels, no subcription, no contact; no fuss.

Regza Link allows simultaneous operation of multiple devices from a single remote control via HDMI connection (compatibility dependent). Along with playback of Jpeg Viewer & Divx and ability to play MP3 files.

    Great product, I can play old VHS tapes and also
    watch DVD's.
    You can also plug in camcorder / Digital video
    and convert to DVD disc's etc..
    You can also save old VHS tape recordings to
    blank DVD's.
    The instruction manual is pretty extensive and
    guides you through everything you want to know
    and do.
    Just for anyone who wants to get going in a hurry,
    Set-Up cable connections - PAGE 17 +
    Set-Up basics & TV view operation - PAGE 20 +
    Set-Up recording VHS tape to DVD - PAGE 41.
    I recommend this Toshiba Combi especially as it's
    slightly cheaper than other's listed on the Amazon
    site.

    Purchased to replace a faulty DVD player, this was the first time I had used a DVR machine.

    It's fairly large but is well designed (with no obtrusive buttons or ugly display features). Initial set up is very straightforward and does not require lengthy study of the instruction booklet. Which is just as well, since the instructions are not written in a way that encourages the user to explore their new machine.

    Picture quality has been excellent, recording has been no problem and DVDs never looked better.

    If you are using the DVR to replace both a DVD player and a set top box, you may also have spent time trying to find out whether this DVR will allow you to watch an analogue channel whilst recording any other channel. The instructions do not spell this out. The answer is yes, you can do this (by using the DVR to record as normal and selecting the alternative AV setting on the tv itself so that you are watching the analogue channels via it's own tuner). This will only work up until the point your area makes the digital switchover.

    In summary, a great looking machine that records easily and has a useful VCR slot too. The only drawback is the instructions booklet, which fails to offer easy answers to basic questions and doesn't clarify how to set it up so that you can watch one analogue channel whilst recording another channel.

    It really doesn't need any technical skills to install. It automatically finds all available channels leaving you to Playback existing media, or just record on Tape or Disc. The whole menu system is very user friend and easy to use.The Instruction Booklet is nicely laid out making it very easy to find the topic you need help with. An excellent piece of equipment bought at an excellent Amazon price too!
