Well, I saw this toy on a review and thought it looked reasonably nice, but the colours where awful, the light brown is vile... However when I went to my local toyshop, they had the alternative paintjob, the darker brown and to be honest, it looks fantastic.
A great looking plane mode, it's almost flawless, from above it's perfect, although I would have loved it if they could have put even just a little moulded piece on that would be like the vertical thrust behind the cockpit, but even still, a rather nice plane, faithful to its real world counterpart.
The robot mode is also rather nice, he has nice articulation, he's a good size and has some nice detailing, I love how everything is in theme with a plane, nothing seems out of place on him which is nice. I also rather like how is head is done, it's inside the cockpit and looks really nice. Featured in the game and not the film, this figure is really true to his character.
A nice toy for all, I'd definately recommend picking him up, especially if you can get the alternate colours.
8/10

Now this is one of the best transformers I've had the pleasure of playing with.
The colours are awful but who cares, its a toy and as far as I'm concerned transformers are supposed to be transformed and this one is fairly easy to convert.
The vehicle mode is quite impressive. It looks like a plane so that scored highly in my book.
As for the robot mode, for some reason it makes me smile. I like the large feet, I like It's face too. It has good articulation, arms bend at the elbow knees bend at the... well knees and it can sit down, not many transformers can do that
The thing i like most about this transformer is the way it transforms. You can imagine how it would transform in real life, plane lands, puts its feet on the floor and stands up, unfolds its arms from its back and folds the planes nose down onto its chest so it can see out of the cockpit, all thats left is to fold the tail into its back to complete the transformation, job done.
compare that with the new starscream. Can't imagine how that one would transform itself unless it transforms in space!
The only slight criticism I have is with the latch which holds the tail up against the body when its in robot mode, I cant see an easy way to release the latch and I suspect tugging on it might break it so be careful! If someone knows better maybe you can post a comment.
Personally I like this one because its a toy not a puzzle, you can fly it around as a plane, land it and start battling the baddies in robot form in no time, not fifteen minutes later when the Deceptacons have already won or run away ;)

A fairly convincing jet mode and a rather odd-looking bot. Transformation is interesting, if not ground-breaking.
The real bug bear of this toy is the colour scheme though. It's passable in alt mode but really garish as robot. I've seen pictures of an alternate colour version of this figure, with darker shades all round which looks a lot better. I haven't seen it on the shelves though.
This guy does have good articulation and the big feet do help balance in dynamic poses. The wing kibble on the back hinders some movement, but not drastically so.
Overall it's not terrible but there's better Revenge of the Fallen deluxes out there for sure.
