Powered by real night vision technology, HM Armed Forces Night Vision goggles allow kids to see up to 50 feet away in absolute darkness. The invisible infrared illumination lets young secret agents stay hidden, while giving them the advantage of seeing their opponents in a pitch-black night. Kids can go on special missions and perform night manoeuvres in their own gardens with these goggles. Sliding the colour switch allows you to select a green or black-and-white screen display.

Rotate the viewing knob to select viewing mode. In Maximum Surveillance Mode, the goggles operate at full power and emit a barely-visible ring of red light. See up to 15 metres in absolute darkness. Close Proximity Stealth Mode helps you gear up for missions that require a closer look; the goggles operate at partial power and generate light that cannot be seen by the human eye. You see them, they can’t see you.

The goggles are fully adjustable and padded for comfort and even fit over glasses; to see when the Night Vision Goggles are turned off, simply lift up the removable eye piece covering your left eye. The spyware also comes equipped with a breakaway power cord attached to a counter-weighted battery pack to ensure the high-tech fun is safe for everyone.

    I have seen several positive reviews for this product, suggesting it is entertaining and surprising good quality. I am puzzled by those reviewers - their expectations must have been unimaginably low. Perhaps my expectations were raised unduly by the reviews AND by the price tag?

    In any event I was extremely surprised by how poor is the visibility through these night vision goggles and how uncomfortable the experience of using them. If they were priced in the £24.95 range I might have felt that they were poor value but only to be expected from a cheap toy - and would immediately have thrown them away. At nearly £100 I was expecting something that functioned in more than a dismal and eye-straining manner - but having spent that much I am reluctant to throw them away. As I cannot give them as a gift to anyone whose friendship I value, I'm not sure what to do with them. Sadly, I'm now poorer but (not much) wiser.

    bought as a gift for my son-in-law for Christmas!! he has tried it out and thinks it works well. He intends to take it on camping trips as a fun item

    These are a really good set of goggles. I bought a pair more as a joke then anything but they have been really great especially on these very dark winter nights. Great to play around in, especially for the kids. I would definitely recommend these.
