    HM Armed Forces Armoured InfantrymanThe new replacements for the good old actionman are great. My 5yr old son had already got the standard infantryman but wanted this one because it had the same uniform daddy wore in the old photos. He has been playing with it from the moment it arrived and was over the moon with the whole set including the Javelin missile system he had seen at the Windsor Tattoo a few days before.
    The only slight fault with these toys is that the feet/boot combination does tend to work a bit loose after a while, easily fixed with a spot of super glue though so it's not that much of a disaster.

    Okay it is not like Action Man used to be....... but it is close. Kids haven't left it alone.... nor have I.
    I need an army. Can't wait for spring when we take to the garden..! Hurrah!

    As a parent I was disappointed when I purchased two of the HMAF soldiers for my sons. When they arrived, my reaction was that they looked like something I'd find in a pound shop! They appeared cheaply produced without the style of Action Man! Even the box looked cheap and cheerful.

    However, my sons ages 8 and 12 thought they were the bee's knee's and have played with them non-stop. So my overall opinion is very expensive, but if your children like playing with these kind of toys and you feel a bit flush, go for it. The alternative options are limited, maybe HMAF knew that when setting the price-tag in a recession.......
