I bought this robot as a gift for my little boy to give to his Dad for his birthday - and they both love it. They play with it together and it was great to see them interacting together when building the robot. It is the latest in Meccano which my husband used to play with as a boy which was my main reason why I chose this (sometimes I find choosing presents for men difficult!), and it's great to see how they have incorporated the 'old' building aspect of Mecanno with 'new' technology, bringing it right up to date. This made it an ideal gift and he was very happy with it.

My wee boy likes the different faces and we didnt have any problems with it recognising the voice commands. My husband also programmed it to dance to the music we like which is good, and obviously we can change the music whenever we like. I'm sure it could also be taken apart and built again if they wanted to!

Overall, we give this 5 stars as it has given my husband and wee boy lots of quality time together, my husband the chance to relive his youth and me, well I got browny points for a thoughtful gift! :)

Toy looks very good, movements and sound are good, LED tubes are really nice but remain loose and comes out from place. And at the end but most important its voice command control, this is really disappointing. Robot does not recognise every voice and command very easily, you don't know some time you have to go too near and say command and some time has to speak louder. Problem is specially with kids when speaking commands.
