I'm somewhat disappointed with the Anthony Worrall Thompson Deluxe 22 " Kettle Barbecue. I bought it because the reviews were so good. I found that the whole structure a bit fragile as I was expecting a more robust solid weighty barbecue. The extra bits and pieces are also flimsy and I don't see them lasting long. I do feel though that it is no worse than allot out there, just I was expecting a better quality Barbecue. We use our Barbecue on every fine weekend, so we will see how it goes. I think that if I had of first gone into a shop and checked it out, I know now that I would not bought it.

I have just received this equipment and I find it hard to say anything good about it. It is badly designed and manufactured and the made in China sticker sticker indicates why. Putting it together was not a pleasant task as I had to re-thread the wheel axle due to the thread been damaged. Nut's and washers do not tighten on to flat surfaces which is poor engineering practise. The wheel struts are held on with a small diameter screw and the flanges had not been bent which in turn means the flanges drag on the wheels. The condiment tray acts as bracing using over-sized holes which adds to the instability of the unit There should also be a locator nut on the axle to stop movement of the wheels. The paint job on the bowl and lid was hit and miss which will encourage the rust to form quickly The flange on the bowl was damaged. The whole unit is unstable and should not be dragged across lawns or stony patios particularly if small children are close by. The Health and Safety people would not be impressed with this set up.
I am a veteran subscriber to WHICH and have to say the report they issued endorsed by a chef praising a product endorsed by a celebrity chef is amateurish. No heed was given to the build quality of the item. I feel when celebrities endorse goods and the goods are substandard then they should be held to account as should WHICH who seemed to have strayed from their original mandate and now flirt with praising goods without thoroughly investigating the product. I shall think long and deep as to cancelling my subscription.
I would return this item but I will have to wait until my hands heal from encounters with all the sharp edges as dis-assembly would be just as tough.It does advise there are sharp edges.

Excellent product. We have used it twice and it works perfectly and seems to offer a lot more than other competing brands for the money. Having the lid on hinges makes cooking a lot easier and cleaning up afterwards isn't a problem thanks to the removable bin. So all in all an excellent, well made product
