The Nüvi 250W is Garmins latest affordable GPS reciever. These newest models in the popular nüvi family feature a wide, 4.3” sunlight readable colour display. With an easy-to-use touchscreen display. The Nüvi 250W can route you around Europe to addresses, restaurants, hotels and more with turn-by-turn directions and voice guidance.

The Nüvi 250W includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. It also comes with Garmin Lock™, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map.

This unit is packaged in a white box with all the same accessories and printed materials as the equivalent new unit. Each unit has been quality checked by Garmin and holds a full standard 12 month manufacturers warranty.

After one month and about six or seven uses I am very happy with my purchase.It works very well and is very easy to use. On inital set up reistering the product with Garmin was a slight pain as I had to use my sons laptop( with microsoft vista) rather than my pc with XP and the maps update took so long I had to leave it overnight. For the price I think this is great value and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family. I do now wonder if the higher spec with "traffic" should have been considered.

The details and description of the sat nav were very detailed and useful, so I could compare it to other sat nav's to find which suited us best. It arrived very quickly after ordering. The sat nav is easy to use and much easier to see the screen with it being a bigger size. A good purchase.

I bought this device to replace my Navman S70. I decided to change it because Garmin had all the maps that I needed (I was missing one on the Navman). What mistake have I made? Garmin is the worst Sat Nav I had. It tries to navigate me through some back roads regardless of setting (shortest route/fastest route). Very often it wants me to exit motorways (couple of times it even lead me to dead exits on motorways in France). It took me for a off-road in London, but the most ridiculous thing happen to me in Poland. It took me to the middle of the field. It lead me for few miles via some really narrow and bumpy road, I was certain it must lead to some major road and that it picked some shortcut for me. I was in for some surprise, the road almost disappeared, bushes along the road got so thick and they started scratching my car. I did not fancy reversing to get to the starting point so I asked some farmer for help. He let me go through his field and showed me where I can join some more suitable road to get to the major road. Rest of the trip I was relaying on road signs rather than Garmin.
I will mention here that I have updated maps right after purchasing this device.
I have already sent my unit back, hoping to get refund and buy some decent Sat Nav.
