These head phones have a very good build quality about them they feel good the cable is nice and thick and the volume control slider is well made and works great.

That's where the good news stops I'm afraid. If you are using these head phones on the move the rubber cable generates an amazing amount of noise, much worse than any earbuds I have ever used, it feels like someone is constantly slapping your ears every step you take. Heaven knows what they are like when running I haven't been brave enough to try.

Ok lets assume your aren't moving much, how is the sound quality. Not good I'm afraid. The bass is so intense and overbearing and to such a degree that it destroys the midrange leaving it muddied with no clarity or definition, the trebles fair little better. Voices are lost in the bass to such a degree it almost sounds like its playing underwater. I did try playing about with my ipods equaliser to boost the treble and reduce the bass but it makes little difference.

In short avoid these like the plague..... Unless you only listen to Bongo drum music....then you'll love them.

Why not look at the soundmagic PL30 headphones. That is what I have just ordered, �22 but sound better than �220 headphones.. read the reviews on amazon.

treble 45% - missing
mid 50% - almost missing (both compared to Sennheiser CX 300 II)
bass 85% (compared to Koss Sparkplugs)

Koss' are known for having a deep bass so 85 for FMJs is pretty good. Treble and mids are the weak point of them. The bass rules the sound here, tries to.
