Tried this product once before. The application was very very sore, but the pain makes up for the weeks of having an ulcer. The ulcer healed right away and disappeared the day after. It is expensive for only two applications though!

Having read the other reviews for this and being prone to painful mouth ulcers I had high hopes for this being a quick fix and was prepared to pay the high price and put up with the pain to be rid of the latest one. The first disappointment was that the pack I bought only had one treatment in it. To be fair I should probably have raised this with the shop I bought it in but had lost the receipt. True to the other reviews here, the application was hideously painful but the pain subsided quickly and from then on the ulcer was certainly less painful for a couple of days. Unfortunately, that's the best I can say for "Bonjela Once". My lip swelled up into a lump around the ulcer, which made eating quite tricky that evening. Most disappointingly however, it was still there the next day, and the next.... It was ultimately about another week before it eventually went, seemingly by it's own accord.

Sadly, this seems to be yet another mouth ulcer treatment that doesn't work, it's just whole lot more expensive and painful than the others!

I bought this today after a week or so of suffering with a really painful mouth ulcer. I have always used adcortyl in orabase but this has been discontinued and I haven't found a good alternative (until today). Used the Bonjela once this afternoon and it was eye-wateringly painful to apply but after about an hour I realised the pain had gone and by this evening, so has the ulcer. Unbelievable! Expensive for two applications but, on this occasion definitely worth it.
