Great entertainment and good company (it does not answer back!)
I bought the sat nav to go on holiday to Cornwall. It helped make the holidays. We named it Veronica. She may take you down some obscure roads but will get you there in the end. (lorry drivers and caravaners beware). I only wish these were available when I was a Rep on the road.
Well worth the money if only for the entertainment.
On the serious side
It takes a few minute to locate the satellites when you first switch on.
Some of the routing is a bit obscure.
It re-calculates very quickly.
The amount of places of interest pre loaded is quite good and you can add your own to the list.
Apparently you can download safety camera updates from www.66.com/rac and there is supposed to be new mapping available sometime in 2008.

Foot note...I found some of the post codes incorrect in W.Wales So double check.

Although it can take something like 5 minutes for the device to load maps or navigate, it is a really useful item. The maps are well detailed, the safety camera alerts are good. You can even select what alert tone to have with that(Having a car braking hard noise is amusing). You may find it will take a while to search for a particular location, at times. Sometimes I find I have to wait a while, then it shows up. The safety camera updates are free and easy to use when connected to your computer. You can also walk around with the Sat-Nav, which is good, when trying to find your way on foot.
