Sexy Black Mp3 Philips Portable Speaker for your Sony MP3!, 4 Jan 2006
I was a bit nervous about buying this portable speaker, as no-one had reviewed it, but I'm so glad I did is it it such a gorgeous little thing with great sound! Not only is it sleek, shiney and black on the front panel (silver on its behind), with a minamilist look, but it matches my black sony NW-A1000 an absolute dream! It has a little stand bit at the back to pull out, so that it stands on its own. It is fully compatable with the sony NW-A1000 and I'm sure many other MP3's as you only have to plug it into where your headphones would normally go. I was thinking about getting one of the speakers with a dock, but sony's one is mega expensive and the other so-called compatable speakers are really only for ipods, as sony's ones tend to fall out of the docking port. Looks aside, the sound is great, and easy to use, with 4 buttons on the top which all seem to pump the bass up - for such a little thing , I really didn't expect much sound, but you can blast this baby up to party volume! If you do have a sony MP3 like the NW-A1000/A3000, then I would advise that you find the code sequence off the internet to unlock the volume , so that you can turn up the sound on your MP3 player and the speaker set - really loud! The case for it looks nice too - only down side is, that I don't think you can fit the adapter into it too. I got it so there are some great deals around for it - espcially good for peeps who don't like the Ipod and have a different MP3 player. A fab portable system to slip into your bag, or carry room to room in your house (great for girls on getting ready to go out!)
