4.0 out of 5 stars A good, adult read..., 31 Jan 2003
A good, adult read - that's what truly describes this book. Interestingly, the blurb doesn't really depict the storyline: Jim Drover - the "murderer" - was only mentioned for a few sentences in the first chapter, although without his trial, the characters would have no way of being related. It was an absorbing read, leading up to an exciting climax at the end, although some characters were not dealt with in the short conclusion. The story changed view from person to person, but it was always clear in my mind who the author was talking about.
Overall, a 4-star read, which entertained me for a decent period of time.
