5.0 out of 5 stars Class!!, 24 Mar 2007
By Jones "Slim" (Wales) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
You can see where John has got his influences from. This music does reflect the style John plays now.
Lots of melody and tight bass lines, all uplifting stuff.
Sounds like sets John would play in the 90s.

If you like John's early stuff then this is for you. Not a bad track in the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not at first what you would expect form Digweed, 2 Oct 2005
I love this album it has a real feelgood aura. Although at first you wonder what on earth Digweed is up to selecting such tunes, after listening to it for awhile you realise they underpin his style. The album is after all, his 'choice' of tunes which have influenced him. It is difficult to pick any favourite tracks, in keeping with his style Digweed has put together a very complimentary selection. I like this as you can play it and appreciate the whole without yearning for any particular track. If you decide to buy then don't expect something which reflects Digweed today but be prepared to be pleasantly challenged.

4.0 out of 5 stars Underground Dance music 89-96, 26 Jun 2009
By T. Fosh "Muzikhead" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is not a trance cd at all but is early dance music from 89-96,its mostly early nineties stuff just before rave went massive and dance music split into lots of different genres. I have found it quite hard to find music from this period so i was pleased to come across this cd. It is from when dance music was played next to Happy Mondays and other indie dance bands and it all seemed underground and non commercial. There are some outstanding tracks on here especially Andrew Weatheralls mix of The Grids Flotation, Euphorias Mercureal and Sheer Tafts Cascades and if you like or collect Andrew Weatherall this CD also includes One Dove, Secret Knowledge's Sugar Daddy and DSKs What would we do. There are also some good early UK house tracks on here including Underworlds remix of St Ettiene and a different mix of mmm skyscraper. This is music that didnt follow fashion or was made to make money but was made for the love of music and to party to (now where did i put those doves?).
