Not many people can love Girlschool more than me. I always try to catch them when they're in London - their shows are infectious and they always (especially Enid) look like they're having a great time.
This album reminds me why I prefer to see them live than on record: it is very patchy.
For me, the best track is Never Say Never, a catchy terrace-style chant that is hard to forget. Several tracks also have great, memorable riffs.
But the downside are the terrible lyrics the girls often write - sometimes a series of cliches strung together! listen to Crazy, which is musically very strong but lyrically wince-inducing. You wouldn't notice that live! Also too many tracks are rather lame fillers.

I agree with everything Andrewbay has written. I am suprised there are not more good reviews of this CD. I've been buying Rock'n Roll music and Rock music since 1957, all through the Sixties, Seventies, Eighties and Nineties, right up to the present time and I find this cd to be one of the best. I also saw Girlschool at the Motorhead concert. I read Andrewbay's review, bought this CD and consequently I was so taken by it that I played it non-stop for a couple of months during which time I proceeded to buy all of the other Girlschool CDs I could find on Amazon,
All of which I am extremely pleased with. I find they sound extremely good using my Sennheiser PX100 Portable Headphones connected to a now old fashioned Sony Walkman CD Player with the bass turned up full.
I cannot find enough words to praise them. All I can say is if you like rock music and have not heard this CD give it a try. Girlschool must surely rate as one of the best rock bands of all time.
