Product Description

Product Description

No other product in the world can do all that Tend Skin Liquid does, especially when it comes to ingrown hairs and razor bumps (Pseudofolliculitis barbae, PFB).

Razor Bumps (pseudofolliculitis barbae, pronounced "soo-doe-fol-li-cu-li'-tis): Razor bumps are created when the growing beard hairs exit the skin, curl over, and burrow into the adjacent skin, resulting in an unsightly "bump". Razor bumps form on the beard areas of men-mostly Black men and about 15-20% of Caucasian men. Occurrence varies with nationality. Until now, only depilatories which burn and scar, and cortisone type creams have been available (cortisone cannot be used long term due to blood stream absorption and side effects.) When applied regularly, Tend Skin®   Liquid effectively reduces appearance of unsightly razor bumps.

Ingrown hairs form when hairs, growing back after shaving, waxing, electrolysis, or other hair removal method, and fail to grow out of the skin. The hairs curl over inside the follicles under the skin (just like the "razor bump" hairs curl above the skin). By curling, then creates and unsightly "bump".  Men and women suffer from ingrown hairs. Men get ingrown hairs on their beard areas. Women get them after shaving their legs, bikini lines, and underarms, as well as after waxing and electrolysis (Tend Skin Liquid may be applied shortly after these procedures). Regular application of Tend Skin Liquid will reduce appearance of existing ingrown hairs without tweezing for both men and women. There is no other product that will reduce appearance of ingrown hairs.

Razor Burn. Applying Tend Skin®  Liquid after shaving will reduce appearance of the noticeable redness that appears on the skin after shaving. This is great for women after shaving legs, bikini lines and underarms as well as for men who see redness after shaving their faces.

Electrolysis/waxing. Applying Tend Skin Liquid regularly to areas that are waxed or treated with electolysis will reduce the appearance of ingrown hair formation that occurs after these procedures. When used after waxing, Tend Skin Liquid reduces the appearance of any resulting redness within minutes

Laser Hair Removal: Professionals doing Laser Hair Removal are reporting that Tend Skin Liquid helps reduce the appearance of redness and next-day bumpiness as it does with other hair removal techniques. We advise not using it prior to laser procedures as it may block the light from reaching into the follicles.

Tend Skin In-Growing Hair Solution 118ml We believe there's no product like it anywhere! Tend Skin Solution is a proven and effective treatment for issues such as razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Razor bumps are created when the growing hairs exit the skin, curl over and burrow into the adjacent skin. This creates a foreign body reaction resulting in an unsightly bump. Ingrown hairs form when hairs, growing back after shaving, fail to grow out of the skin. The hairs curl over inside the follicles under the skin. The inflammation in the follicle then creates a red, sore spot on the skin. Prevents ingrown hairs Soothes skin from ingrown hairs Protects

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, but does it really work....., 6 Sep 2008
By C. Mackie "Me" (London) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I never quite know whether all of the glowing recommendations for products like this come from over eager employees / shareholders / family members / friends - of those trying to sell the product. I am 32, work in marketing (not skincare!) so know only too well that sometimes products like this may have a slightly overated level of success!

I have had severe razor burn over the last few years and have tried quite a lot of different solutions to try and fix it - Aloe Gel, Zinc Creams blah blah blah. I purchased Tend Skin recently and have already noticed a really significant benefit (in the space of a few days it has cleared up almost completely). Though, I have to say, I have significantly changed my shaving routine and it appears to have.....well...pretty much resolved the problem altogether. So I guess I can attribute some of this to Tend Skin - but I also think the rest of what I have changed has been pretty helpful.

Heres what I have done;

1. Thrown away my latest and greatest gillete 4 blade cartridge razor
2. Replaced it with a traditional 1 blade Merkur 34c razor
3. Learnt how to use it (look on YouTube for "safety razor" and watch the "how to" videos
4. Bought an ALUM BLOCK - which is wet and applied to the skin after shaving which sterilises the skin
5. Used a decent shaving cream - the traditional kind applied with a badger hair brush
6. Once the skin is dry post shaving - apply tendskin (I have also applied at night)
7. Use a wet hot face towel to ensure the face is very hot before shaving
8. Use the same COLD face towel after shaving (but before the ALUM block and tendskin)

This might sound like a real pain - however I can assure you that it hasnt been taking me much longer to shave and the results have been, frankly, astounding. The safety razor is really easy to use, so don't be put off. The only real trick is shaving in the direction of the hair growth AND not applying any pressure on the razor head (use the weight of the razor). Also, once you go over each area gently - reapply lather and gently repeat to ensure a close shave.

When you do some research on the Safety razor, you will find out that because it is a single blade it cuts SLIGHTLY above the skin. Mach 3's or equivalent pull the hair up and cut slightly UNDER the skin - making ingrown hairs and razor burn much more likely. Also - the replacement blades are HUGELY cheaper then the equivalent Gillette cartridges. Worth checking out some of the online forums about shaving with a Safety Razor if your interested.

Anyway, hope this is helpful. I know this COMBINATION has resolved my razor burn / ingrown hair issues - and I am very pleased with the results. Good luck.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best ingrown hair solution, 27 Oct 2008
By Ms. D. Alder - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have been using tend skin for years, I used to get really bad ingrown hairs on my bikini and they were really unsightley. My sister recommended it to me. Basically, it works full stop. What it does is peel of the layer of thickened skin around the area, but generally leaves healthy skin. If you have severe in grown hairs this is the best. Now I dont know where i would be without it. However, it is strong and smells strong, but that is probably why it works so well. Not best for sensetive skin, especially dry skin. Make sure you moisturise when you use it.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS WORKS!, 20 May 2008
Honestly, I had the WORST ingrown hair problem: huge red lumps that just woldn't go away. I tried exfoliating everyday, and warm baths before and after waxing, but they kept getting worse, and the thought of wearing a bikini this summer was filling me with dread. Sceptical, but desperate, I bought Tend Skin, and I was amazed how quickly it worked! - after 24 hours the redness had visibally diminished, and after almost 2 weeks of use my skin is almost clear of ingrown hairs and their unsightly bumps. I recommend it completely.
