4.0 out of 5 stars More accessable than the last, but by no means worse, 14 Nov 2003
Although this album seems somewhat more 'radio friendly' than the last effort, it by no means detracts from the quality of its content.

The track 'rain' is one I can personally visualise being a huge hit, it sticks in the mind and you cant help but sing it for days on end.

Uplifting, mellow, heavy, melodic....... There is something on this album for everyone

5.0 out of 5 stars 40 Below Summer - The Mourning After, 13 Nov 2003
By A Customer
This band is going to be huge if they produce more music like this!!! Roadrunner said that this album was going to be big, and they weren't lying. If you like heavy music, then you will like this album, and even if you don't, there are songs that are very melodic. This is an album then anyone and everyone should own!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Molten Metal, 17 Nov 2003
17/11/03
40 BELOW SUMMER / THE MORNING AFTER
40 Below Summer's brand of blistering, dynamic Modern Metal is fuelled with a heady emotional content of power and aggression that is hard to ignore, like a scar that has not yet healed, with more twists and turns than a roller coaster and a joy to listen to.
Their sound is a mix of old and new, Coal Chamber, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine and Spineshank, to name but a few. All this has all been expertly pulled together by producer Garth Richards, all the songs have a brutal intent but also possess a melodic content that lulls you into a false sense of security and is hard to ignore and you will find yourself singing along in no time as "Self Medicate", "Breathless" and "Better Life" ably demonstrate.
This is the sort of album you will find yourself coming back to again and again and I am sure it will tell the test, another fine addition to the growing Roadrunner roster
