Even more progress,
This review is from: Resignation (Audio CD)
I have had this album for about a month now and at first I prefered Progress a lot more. Songs like "sell you beautiful" (in 5/4 time, you wont get it out of your head) and "mastering the list" stood out and the way RX Bandits have started messing around with timing to give a truly individual album. The progress from pop-punk to rock/hardcore is very welcome to my ears as I felt "progress" was too poppy in places. Instead this is a truly individual album, an amzing listen with uplifting lyrics, great guitars, superb rhythms- you'll know what I mean if you buy it- and individual horns and... glockenspiels. This album will make you move, buy it.

Yet more progress,
This review is from: The Resignation [CD + DVD] (Audio CD)
Well where do i start, hmmmmmm. Ok a quick brief history of there last 2 albums first. 1st album Halfway between.... This saw them playing there own brand of ska punk which a difference that most of the songs are very catchy and sound great but all pack a message. no2 Progress well all i can say is this album is one of my all time favorates the title progress is so apt and shows them moving away from being heavily influenced by ska although there is an underlying ska element in almost all the songs. Now onto this album as soon to be released in the usa i preordered a copy from america and get it 3 days before it was due to come out officialy over there. I didnt stop listening to ti for 3 days at first i was slightly dissapointed as it seems they have totaly forgot there ska past although there still is a lsight influence there but now they have grown and it shows. After listening to this album for so long the songs realy start to hit you as you listen to what each song is about once again every song ahs a ver powerfull message but is so not intrusive of your enjoyment of the songs and music. ive given this album 5 stars the same as i gave progress although this album still in my mind is not as good as progress. If you like their older stuff beware dont go looking for a ska punk band because instead you will find a polished rock band with a ska history (which isnt a bad thing) that can write powerfull emotional songs about thing that effect every one of us in modern day life and pull it off so well. so all in all buy this album if you have the other if you havent any of the others get this and progress you wont be disapointed. every single person i have lent those 2 albums to have become fans. Thast probably why the last time they toured here i brought about 15 people with me to see there awsome live performace.

If you only buy one album this year it has to be this one!! I promise you will not take it out of your cd player - EVER! They are amazing live - so you must check 'em out! They have so much energy on stage - and you can tell that they are lovin every minute of it!!! Excellent musicians and fantastic vocals. Its great to hear such a diverse and interesting band. Really refreshing! You got it all here - punk/ska/regge/metal - with saxaphone and trombone! What more can you ask for????!
