Two volume compilation of 'The King's' ballads and other love songs. It stretches the definition of love song to include 'Old Shep' a sentimental tribute to a pet dog but also includes some of Elvis's most famous songs such as 'Suspicious Minds', 'Always On My Mind' and 'Love Me Tender' none of which made number one.

This album conatins some of the greatest love songs, ballads and country, the world has ever heard. Many of these tracks have already sold over 50,000,000 copies on various singles, EP's and albums. These are all really good songs, with the exception of Old Shep which does not belong and this album.

The highlights on disc 1 are Always on my mind, It's now or never, Are you lonesome tonight, There goes my everything and I just can't help believin. Disc 2 gems are Can't help falling in love, Hawaiian Wedding song, The Girl of my best friend, pocketful of rainbows and love me. This is a good album if you are either just looking for a Love Songs album, or are trying to build a good cross-section of Elvis best material.

This cd I bought for my mother,but i listened to the incredible voice and passion of this legend and really love this cd and will now keep it for myself.The not so well known songs, is actually to listen to it for the first time. I want you ,I need is probably my favourite track and being young and not even born when he was alive make this even better to experience this unique voice.This is truly a collectors item

This is a collection that all Elvis fans should buy for the "non converted".

It inlcudes all of th well known loves songs but also inludes lesser known gems that higlight the vocal mastery of Elvsi Presley. How anyone could listen to the vocalising of "Theres always me" and note tingle with emotion is beyond me.

When I purchsed this collection I thought someoned had swiped a copy of my personal favourite presly Love songs ...if it had inluded "suppose" (another forgotten gem) then I think it would have nbeen the perfect compilitaion.
