The opening riff of this albumn, and of the title track should be familiar to most listeners. But this in no way detracts from the song, as the riff fits into it so well, and the song is so good that it hardly matters. In the end it works out more as a homage to Iron Maiden than a rip off. And what Therion fan is not an Iron Maiden fan anyway? The second track, "Mark of Cain" is also in my opinion a classic. Of the cover versions on the CD, "Sea Winds" is the best. It's very mellow and very well done. The only thing I don't like on the CD is "Crazy Nights". I don't even know who originally recorded this, as it is not something I would normally listen to, it's not the Kiss song. This is a small gripe, however and I am starting to view with growing amusement Therions insistence on covering songs from the worst end of the metal spectrum. To sum up, like "A'arab Zaraq" this is the equivalent to a b-sides collection but like the aforementioned Iron Maiden Therion are a band who'se b-sides are essential listening. It only gets four stars cause of "Crazy Nights".
