4.0 out of 5 stars 3rd album from Australia's biggest-selling female artist, 17 Aug 2000
By mark@tcobley.fsnet.co.uk (Southampton, England) - See all my reviews
Tina's never really made it big in Britain, which is a shame because she deserves to. This is a great pop record, and it's a cut above most of the dross out there: the songs have a bit more depth to them (no pun intended), and they appeal to a rock fan like me. British people might have heard the tracks I Want To Know What Love Is, Whistle Down The Wind, and I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You (from the Mask of Zorro.) The album is pretty much 70 minutes of the same, heavily-rock-influenced power ballads that Tina belts out at full volume. The songs here are a little more soul-searching and angsty than her earlier stuff, but this is no bad thing. She certainly has an amazing voice, she has the lungpower to rival Celine Dion but a sweeter tone. If you're a fan of MOR rock such as Bryan Adams and stuff written by Diane Warren, there's no reason not to like this. Definitely a worthwhile purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars superb, 23 Dec 2000
By krus258734@aol.com (portsmouth.england) - See all my reviews
I would like to make the point that the european version is not just a few tracks different from the australian. Most have been remixed and are of a different length e.g. i want to know what love is, 5.34 on the australian ,now 6.22. Unsung hero now has a choir although has lost 20 seconds. I have both versions and the new tracks on the european are excellent, particularly if i was river and whistle down the wind. Tina has a fantastic voice and has cowritten most of the tracks. Several should have been big hits,e.g.burn and sixteen years. I think any Tina fan would be happy to have both versions, I certainly am!

1.0 out of 5 stars wasted talent, 16 Feb 2004
By A Customer
Tina Arena has a beautiful voice, which she fails to make the most of on this album. Every song finishes in a screech. Even the presence of Marc Anthony fails to redeem this album.
