Bonnie as good as ever in the nineties, 2 Jun 2003
British and American fans remember Bonnie for It's a heartache (1978) and Total eclipse of the heart (1983) in particular, but also for a few other songs such as Lost in France and Holding out for a hero. Although the hits dried up, the quality of her music did not. I suspect poor management was responsible for the failure of her song, The best, to make any impact. Tina Turner recorded it a year later as Simply the best and the rest is history. No wonder, then, that Bonnie has mostly recorded in Germany since then, where her popularity is greatest despite continuing to record in English. This album was recorded there in 1992 and may be described as typical Bonnie Tyler music. Right from the opening bars of Fool's lullaby, Bonnie's fans know that they are in for a treat. A consistently high standard is maintained throughout. Some songs titles may look familiar but don't be deceived. Daytime friends is not the old Kenny Rogers song, though the general idea of the song is similar. Similarly, there have been many different songs titled Call me, but I think this is yet another one. Bonnie is in top form throughout this album, whether singing passionate ballads or driving rock songs. If you enjoy Bonnie's earlier music, you will love this.

Bonnie's Second Hansa Album!!, 23 April 2008
Bonnie Tyler is my favorite artist of all time, I have many of her other albums in addition to "Angel Heart" her second released for the Germany label Hansa from 1992.
It's a nice CD but not one of my all time favorites, a few average tracks such as the duet with Frankie Miller "Save Your Love" and the excellent songs such as the love ballad title track, "Sending Me Angels", "Race To The Fire" "I Cry Myself To Sleep At Night" and "God Gave Love To You".
If you come across this album, it's well worth a purchase as Bonnie is in good voice. However, there are not enough high points on it for me to give it a 5 star raiting but "Angel Heart" is indeed, a very good album even though the next album released in 1993, "Silhouette In Red" was a much stronger CD with some truely fantastic songs.

Total Eclipse of her Career, 29 Feb 2004
Tyler's 2nd album for German label Hansa is her worst album to date.Packed with songs again heavily geared to the German market, you also have a Jim Steinman rip-off (Race To The Fire), a couple of tracks Nicki French would have killed for, and some horrible attempts at Country & Western. The songs are mostly awful, and worst of all ill-suited to Tyler's fantastic voice, leaving her sounding as if she has no room to stretch her range. Tyler is an artist who deserves a helluva lot better than this sorry collection. Here she is as far away from 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' as she could ever fear to get. Again this was HUGE in Germany but really this is awful and an insult to her voice, ability and past success
