5.0 out of 5 stars At the feet of The Japing Ape, 16 Nov 2006

The reader will find such a welcome in the pages of this remarkable commentary, that their delight at its discovery will remain long after they have read the book.
From a unique perspective, the world's leading anthropological ape lays out modern human behaviour for our gleeful examination. Whether it's the death of Diana, sexual mores or the Spice Girls, it is done with such a generosity of spirit and perfect humour that we laugh and when our laughter subsides, we marvel and reflect on such talent for hitting each nail on the head.
Wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pearls of Wisdom, 22 Nov 2006
By Daphne Wayne-Bough (Brussels, Belgium) - See all my reviews
Gorilla Bananas scrutinizes human behaviour with the merciless magnifying glass of his keen observational skills, and we frequently come off worse compared to our gentle, vegetarian, reflective and big hairy cousins. I have ordered several copies of his book as self-help guides for some humans of my acquaintance who could benefit from the great ape's pearls of wisdom. Friend of the great and the good, confidant to the stars, Gorilla Bananas is the best thing to come out of Africa since St Augustine of Hippo. Look on his works, ye mighty, and despair.
