5.0 out of 5 stars You can tell he does it for a living, 8 Feb 2005

(REAL NAME)
Not another book on presentation skills? Well actually yes, except this one's different. It's written by someone who presents for a living and as a speaker myself I'm always keen to pick up some new ideas.

What I love about this book is it's broad appeal. Whether you're new to presenting or a seasoned pro there's some brilliant common sense ideas for everyone. I especially enjoyed the section on 'How the Pros Handle the Unexpected'and the tips on how to build your confidence

It's a book I would suggest you treat as a manual for learning, don't simply read it from cover to cover but use it as a reference for your future presentations. Fortunately Shay's style of writing and invaluable content means you'll actually find the the learning process an enjoyable one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review: Presenting with Power, 18 Feb 2005
Presenting with Power provides a complete reference for anyone who wants to prepare and deliver presentations that get results. It is a book you will return to often because it is easy to read with an informal and engaging style. The book is liberally sprinkled with humorous graphics, and the helpful checklists in the appendices will reduce your preparation time.
One of the most valuable parts of this book is the guidance on developing an appropriate personal style for your presentation, and how to deliver your material in a way that takes account of the different personalities and needs of your audience. There is also some good advice for people who make sales presentations, including how to identify different types of people and how to focus the sales presentation accordingly.
Overall this is a 'must have' book for anyone who wants to Present with Power and benefit from being and excellent communicator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply fantastic, 1 Mar 2006
By A Customer
A useful guide that I can see me using time and time again. Useful hints for everybody, whatever your public speaking experience and not patronising when speaking about how to deal with nerves. Useful hints and tips and have already found it invaluable to presenting well.
