This was not an original book, just a cheap rip off copy. Don't waste your money! There are words that haven't even printed correctly!!

Let me begin by saying that this is a truly inspiring and insightful book, and one which will help anyone immeasurably. It is mainly focused on acquiring wealth (hence the title), but the principles can be applied to achieving any goal. Despite being written over 70 years ago, the content is just as relevant and useful today, and easily deserves the full five stars.

With that said, this is a very poor version of the book. The content appears to be complete and original, but it is riddled with spelling mistakes and typographical errors, and I've even found a couple of places where entire paragraphs have somehow found themselves transplanted into the middle of other paragraphs, sometimes in the middle of a word! This is frequently distracting and sometimes nigh-on impossible to read. It is clear that the book has been rushed out with no proof-reading whatsoever.

In summary, I can't recommend this book enough, but please buy a different version.

This is a book that everyone should read, not only that but to keep going back to again and again as a reference point. I only wish I had read it years ago. I believe this should be in all schools and be part of the curriculum, instead of teaching things that most never use again.

Like many others giving reviews here, this is a really good book but this particular version is disappointing!

I agree with another reviewer that it looks as if it is a draft printed pdf file with a cover on it. In addition, there are various numbers appearing randomly throughout the text. The text is simply put together as if someone has typed it on an old fashioned typewriter.

I am sending mine back to Amazon as I can't possibly sit and read it.

Originally published in 1937. Napoleon Hill developed a simple 13 step formula to help you identify your goals, master the secrets of true and lasting success, obtain what you want in life, join the ranks of the super successful.

This book is easy to understand and gets you thinking about positive thinking in relation to greater wealth, with lots of examples of men and women and their stories of success.

What an amazing book. Written 100 years ago and yet pertinent to today and for the future. Simple observations by Napoleon Hill that took him to meet all the great men of his time, and interview them for his book. Those who knew how to make money and thrive, and those who made money but toppled from a great height. In this book you will learn not only how to make money, but how to have the right mindset to keep it and share it. Richness is also a mindset, so if you think this book is just a 'how to get rich quick' tome, then it won't be for you. However, if you believe you have the will to make changes and raise your game in all aspects of your life, then I suggest this book should be on your shelf. I have read it several times and still find little passages that resonate. Using it I have made a great leap from static thinking and living to a big move (physically and mentally) that has created a path toward a future I only ever dreamed about. Thin book - Thick with material.

This reading represents a perfect companion to James Allen's classic "As A Man Thinketh". Apart from the main teaching about positive thinking, I found very interesting the many facts and insights that the author provides about lives of great men and about the "great depression" era. Also interesting is the chapter about the mystery of sex, where the author provides an interesting point of view. Last but not least, as other reader have recommended, don't buy this edition because of the many printing errors. Buy some of the other editions available.
