    I purchased the Rosetta Stone in English to help some of our staff members, who are not native speakers, improve their English. There are many things that I like about the system. THe exercises are fun and worthwhile and at first the staff was excited about using it.
    The problem came with the spoken exercises involving pronunciation. The users became increasingly frustrated when they pronounced words and were marked wrong because of a slight flaw in their pronunciation. I myself, a native English speaker, found myself having to repeat words in some cases many times before the word was recognized as correct. Sadly this seemed to dampen the enthusiasm of our group.
