Product Description

Product Description

In the first act of this volume, Dee and Ryo hunt down a mad bomber who has blown up the 27th precinct. When Bikky discovers the bomber's identity, he's taken hostage and his life is in immediate danger. Dee is soon captured, too, and Dee and Bikky must work together to save themselves...and the world! The second act of Volume 4 revolves around Bikky and Carol's budding relationship. Carol's birthday is coming up, but since Bikky doesn't have money to buy her a present, he starts avoiding her. Carol misreads these signals and is certain he's losing interest in her. Bikky works his hardest to earn the money to buy her a gift...but will it be too little, too late?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic shounen-ai series with a good plot, 20 April 2008
Thus far I liked this book best compared to the other volumes in the series, even though they're alle terrific. The first story is quite long, Dee and Ryo have to investigate the case of a bomber. After the bomber has planted a bomb in a house near Bikky's school and even one in the police station, where Ryo and Dee work, he plans to detonate one in the school itself. When Dee tries to prevent the detonation, he finds his own life in grave danger.

The second story is one with Bikky and Carol. Bikky wants to buy Carol a gift for her birthday and works overtime to get together enough money for it. And the third story with Dee and Ryo in which Dee get's ill and Ryo cares for him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still loving this series!, 25 Aug 2005
By Larunya (Solihull, UK) - See all my reviews
Whelp then. Volume 4. In this yet again exciting installment of Fake, the story revolves around a bomber who is wreaking havoc in the city, bombing Bikky's school and the 27th precinct. Of course the bomber is eventually apprehended, but not before Dee is put in great danger and Ryo makes a few realisations...

What I really like about this volume is that is breaks out of what was looking to be a pattern of Dee jumping on Ryo and Ryo refusing him (which doesn't cease to be funny regardless). More genuine emotions are running around here and we begin to see that Ryo and Dee's relationship could really work.

Although some of the other characters bring some fantastic comedy into it, my only gripe about this volume is that it seems much shorter than some of the others. Then again it could be because Carol and Bikky have a whacking great sub-story thrown into this one... -_-;

Read I thee, READ!!!

Fake is amazing and this may well be the best book in the serise for it's plot when it comes to the actual police work the boy's do.

Gory, frightening and totally gripping!
