Product Description

Femke, a gifted and resourceful young spy, is entrusted with a vital foreign mission by the Emperor. Her adversary, Shalidar, frames Femke with responsibility for two murders while she is visiting their neighbouring court. Femke is isolated in an alien country, being pursued both by her enemies and by the authorities. Only her side-kick, Reynik, a young military trainee, can help. Together, they must outwit the evil assassin Shalidar and prove Femke's innocence so they can complete the imperial mission. This is the first in a new series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Imperial Spy, 15 May 2007

I read this book with my son who is 9 and a fairly reluctant reader. It was fun, exciting very readable and absolutely gripping. I've subsequently been buying it for all his friends as birthday presents.
It has the same unputdownable quality as the Alex Rider books although the vocabulary is more difficult.
We both really enjoyed it and are about to start the sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping New Novel, 28 Feb 2006
Well I thought I had been blown away with the plot of Mark Robson's first books, but now the plots are full of more suspense and romance. Unlike the first books this book joins Femke the Spy on her journey after the events of the previous book. On how she journied to Thandor and what events took place after. A Murderer is at work in the Palace in Mantor look out you might be the murderer's next target.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mark Robson, man of many talents..., 18 May 2008
By May-Miller "MM" (Sussex, UK) - See all my reviews
Brilliant Book. Met the man himself, a fascinating guy, signed my copy for me!
Highly recommended easy-to-read fantasy / adventure style. Aimed at children, but I'm 19 at university and I loved it! Doesn't give the plot away in the first 20 pages which is nice, features a female lead which works brilliantly. Something a bit different from what you might expect from this type of read, makes a nice change! I am looking forward to his second in this series, which I just bought today!
