5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational, 18 April 2005
This review is from: Sphurana: The Yoga Practice of Atma Vichara, Its Context and Method (Paperback)
A beautifully articulated & hugely profound piece of work. This book continues in the tradition of the Upanishads & is for those people who experience a yearning in their heart for spiritual truth. I found it exceptionally inspiring, relevent & insightful.

When deciding to buy a book, I usually read the first paragraph or page to see if the writing resonates with me, if I feel a desire to read on. So for those of you who are like me, here's the first paragraph of the introduction. It may inspire you to read more too:

"You are not what you assume yourself to be. Not a body, a mind, a separate individual person with a set of thoughts and ideas. All these things are happening and will continue to happen but they do not define you. Your wholeness is not only these things and is not limited by these things. Your wholeness is the light of awareness in which these things appear. This may be called spirit, Self, or I. It can be realised, known and lived."
