5.0 out of 5 stars An inspired read!!!!, 4 Jul 2007
Not much to say other than it's a fantastic book. The author interviews over 25 world class musicians from a wide range of music genres (jazz, classical, funk, avant garde).

It's been a while since I read it but stand outs sections for me were the interviews with Sun-Ra, Lee Scratch Perry, John Cage... I could go on. It has an intellectual quality to it as he looks at aspects of experimentation, the recording industry, identity, madness, and the politics of self censorship. If it sounds like your bag it is :)
