Product Description

Product Description

Professional SQL Server 2005 Programming shows experienced developers how to master the substantially revamped feature set of the latest release of Microsoft SQL Server. The book begins with a concise overview of the new features of SQL Server that is of interest to experienced developers. This is especially important given the substantial changes to SQL Server with this release. From there, the book quickly moves on to the meat of the title. Beginning–level material has been removed to provide more room for covering new features and more extensive code examples.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book and reference guide, 30 April 2008
By Smeghead (suffolk, england) - See all my reviews
As someone who is working towards my MCDBA I found this book a good reference guide plus full of useful information just when you need it. Robert makes the geeky-fied subject humourous to read in places and talks like its in the real world and not Microsofts one. He has obviously read the 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' and is a Star Wars fan.

Good companion book is the SQL 2005 Administration book, though not by the same author and not so funny
