Since the first Su Doku puzzles appeared in the UK in 2004, they have become a phenomenon, with thousands of commuters eagerly puzzling away each day. Everyone can enjoy Su Doku puzzles. You don't need to be a mathematical genius; nor do you have to be good at mental arithmetic. The fact is that Su Doku puzzles are really logic puzzles that happen to use numbers - you solve the puzzles by reasoning, not calculation. All you do is fill in the grid so that every row, every column, and every 3x3 box contains the numbers 1 through to 9. That's all there is to it... and there is only one solution to each puzzle. Now, here is the book, arranged in increasing order of difficulty, from the easiest "mini Su Doku" puzzles right up to the new "Super Su Doku". Su Doku - guaranteed addiction!

I love this book! It's got 200 puzzles, many of them both challening and fascinating (how about a puzzle with both numbers and letters?! Even though it's a paper-back, it stands rough handling - due to eager use and the owner's frequent frustrations! Do use a pencil when solving the puzzles.

Get this if you haven't done any sudoku yet as the beginning few puzzles are very easy. But if you've already done some, it is still quite good as the later puzzles are harder and I especially liked the last few puzzles which were quite hard. And a good price considering this book contains 200 puzzles.

When I saw the 'Big Book of Sudoku' title I thought it would have more puzzles than any other book, but it doesn't. Admittedly it has twice as many as the Times books (only 100 for the same money) but other books have advice and tips and feel that they're much better value. I love Sudoku and so does the rest of my family and if we had �5.99 to spare then it wouldn't be spent on this Sudoku book.
