Excellent book to read and understand ayurveda. Anyone could read this book, no 1st hand knowledge of the subject is needed, this book does it for you. I would recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative, 22 Jun 2006
This book is an easy to understand introduction to this fascinating and interesting subject. It was written by the founder of the Ayurvedic Charitable Hospital in London with contributions from Doctors in the field of ayurveda.

There are some simple ideas to understand your body-type or 'dosha' and to take easy steps to help balance your health. There is a useful chapter on 'cures for common ailments and another using ayurveda principles in the diet.

It is not meant to be an in-depth book, ayurveda is a huge subject, but it is one of the best introductions I've seen to get you started on the journey to maintaining good health.
