5.0 out of 5 stars Developing Numeracy shape and space, 3 May 2004

I found this book along with many other Developing Numeracy titles to be an excellent resource. The photocopiable sheets are ideal to give out as homework to reinforce class work. The book also contains games for the children to play. Excellent!

1.0 out of 5 stars The comic-book approach to education, 28 Jan 2009
This, and other books in the series, are a powerful indicator of how the national curriculum has been designed to dumb-down the education provided to our children. The students typically have to extract the small amount of relevant information from a bewildering array of irrelevant rubbish littered around each page in order to solve each problem. Pictures often have nothing to do with the questions, and are confusing rather than 'fun', space is used extremely inefficiently, and this small booklet is surprisingly expensive for its size. The Bond's NoNonsense series of books, while not ideal, are substantially better than these - at the very least they are designed to teach rather than to confuse.
