5.0 out of 5 stars Firefox for Dummies a first time user, 13 Mar 2009
The Author, Blake Ross, describes the Firefox web browser in a clear, helpful style.
As one of the original developers of the program, he is able to explain how the features work and also why they were presented in that way. He includes an interesting history of how Firefox was started as a free alternative to Microsoft's
Internet explorer.
A beginner on Firefox will find in the book an good introduction to organizing
bookmarks (called favorites by Microsoft). Although Firefox is compact and fast there is a section on downloading extensions (extra programs) to customize it for each user. The book covers every aspect of Firefox as well as a section on avoiding hackers and has two concise Appendices on the menus and Keyboard shortcuts.
