Morris the Mankiest Monster just gets worse and worse as you read aloud the rhyming text, snot, ear wax, pustules...it's really hard to keep going. This book needs a warning to parents - they're going to have to read it over and over again - children will absolutely love it. This is a book you will read again and again and not grow tired of (even when your child asks you for the 50th time!). So many disgusting things on every page that you won't see them all on the first read. My 18 month old just squealed with delight at the page with jars of absolutely horrid items. Plenty of spiders, slugs and worms to spot, even children too young to appreciate the full horror of life with Morris will love it; this one will appeal to young and old alike!

If you like laugh out loud childrens books that appeal to both adults and kids, then this is one to add to your collection. Wonderfully written and illustrated throughout this book had both me and my children, aged 3 and 7 in hysterics and going 'YUCK!' in equal measure. The level of detail in the artwork is amazing and my children loved pointing out all the little creatures who inhabit Morris's world. If you want to please your kids with a book that you and they can reread over and over or if you just like books about monsters who floss their teeth with slugs, then buy this NOW!

Just read our copy of "Morris the Mankiest Monster" and immediately ordered three more for Christmas gifts. Morbidly delightful. Sarah McIntyre's artwork is stupendously disgusting in all the right ways :) She is one of the best up-and-coming children's artists we've seen. We'll buy more of her books in the future.
